1. Use the link from the Government of Canada to READ SOME BASIC flying guidelines for DRONES. Read the seciton on "WHILE FLYING"on the website.
2. Watch the video from the Australian government that also goes over safety guidelines for flying Drones. 3. READ the SMS DRONE Flying Safety Guidelines at the bottom of the page. 4. Take the Drone Safety Quiz. You must pass with 9 out of 10 questions correct before you may move forward in the drone unit. |

SMS DRONE FLYING GUIDELINES
1. Know how to connect and control the drone.
2. Know the horizontal range of the drone. 2. Do NOT fly over people or horizontally within 3m of people. 3. Do Not fly above 5m. 4. NEVER use take pictures or video of people, places, property or vehicles without the obtained permission. 5. ALWAYS maintain visual sight of your drone with your eyes and NOT a device. 6. Use the drone in the controlled spaces established by your teacher. 7. Never touch the drone when the propellers are operating and spinning. 8. When beginning to fly a drone always start the drone at a LOW altitude or height and slower speeds.
